The Admission Process

Ascend’s admissions process is thoughtfully crafted to understand each applicant on a personal level and determine if Ascend International School is a right fit for your family.

To begin your journey with us, please follow the steps outlined below.

August:

One of the initial things we like to do is invite interested parents to join us for a tour of Ascend, where you'll have the chance to experience our vibrant school community firsthand. Our admissions tours are thoughtfully designed to give you a glimpse into the daily life of our students, allowing you to observe them in their classrooms, explore curricular projects, and engage with our dedicated faculty and Leadership team. During the tour, you’ll visit both our Primary School classrooms and our specialists’ spaces, providing you with a comprehensive view of the learning environment at Ascend.

Tour dates will become available at 10 a.m. (IST) on the 26th of each month. Reservations are required.

For example, tours dates for September 1st through September 28th are posted at 10 a.m.(IST) on August 26th. After filling out the enquiry form at the bottom of this page, we will provide the link for school-tour sign-up.

September:

To ensure you have a personalized, engaging experience, space is limited for our tours and information sessions. As such, we ask that you register via the link sent in advance of your visit. Tours are for parents only, your children will have time to visit later.

Tour registration is done on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred date.

Please note that the school tour begins promptly at 9:00 AM and generally lasts about an hour and a half, including the Q&A session. To ensure that we can start and finish on schedule, we kindly ask that you arrive on time. If you arrive late, we will need to reschedule your tour for the next available date. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

September - November:

After your parent tour you will be sent ‘The Ascend International School Application for Academic Year 2025-2026’ via email.

Once The Admissions department receives your completed application and all supporting documents you will be called for an in-person Parent Interview.

The Parent/Guardian Interview serves an important role by giving parents/guardians the opportunity to talk about their child(ren) in greater depth with faculty members. Parent Interviews last about 40-60 minutes and are conversations during which we anticipate getting to know you and your child better. The interview is also the best time for you to ask any remaining questions you have about Ascend.

December - Student visit day - Half Day, KG1 and KG2

Our visit day for students will take place on 7th December 2024. All parents that have completed a school tour, submitted a completed application, and completed their parent interview will be invited for our student visit day. This is our only Visit day for the year, it is imperative you attend.

Student Visit day is a group visit, which will last about an hour and thirty minutes. These visits will be a combination of fun learning activities, movement/dance, and a storybook read-aloud story. Both parents need not attend the visit day.

The ‘Student Visit Day’ will be the final step in the admission process and we intend to release admission decisions by mid-December.

Ascend admissions for Grade 1 through Grade 11

Should you be interested in admission for PYP (Grade 1st through Grade 5th) or MYP (Grade 6th - 10th) or Ascend’s IBDP (11th/12th)  then the ‘Visit day/student interaction’ will look slightly different. Kindly connect with the admission team for detailed information about those visits.
